RESONANT BLADE - INDIE GAME DEVLOG #3 (Parry, Turrets, Tilesets)

This episode, I came up with a solution for the clunky harmonic shield and old chord combo system: a new parry skill. The player can parry and absorb enemy projectiles storing up to 3 charges in the Resonant Blade. The new laser turrets are positioned on a raised platform out of reach of the player's melee range. When getting the correct combination of frequencies (major or minor chord) absorbed into the blade, the player can unleash a ranged attack allowing them to destroy the turrets. I also make my first attempt at some tileset pixel art for the backgrounds.
